July 2012 will be the year when all eyes turn towards Britain for The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (don't get me started on their ridiculous logo!). With this major even in mind we can help lead the global community to lower carbon footprints to fight climate change.

Team Green Britain kicks off the event at The Eden Project, Cornwall, and when signing up they ask you to join a team to be part of: Team Energy, Team Swap, Team Big Lunch, Team A to B and EcoTeams.

I have merged three of these teams into a mini event of my own. I have asked a few friends and family who live in the area (you will see why below) to join me for the evening whilst keeping in line with the Team Green events:

Team A to B

I have asked my guests to arrive without the use of fuel enabled vehicles. No cars or motorbikes. You will have to walk or bicycle. If it rains... you will get wet.

Team Big Lunch

I will be preparing lunch in the garden including some home grown lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, radishes and carrots. If it rains... you will get wet.

Team Energy

I have informed guests to turn off anything electrical in their homes as we will use my house's energy to watch a film. If it's been raining... my sofa will get wet.
