Mozilla released an updated version of Firefox last night virally on the usual socialocomotion. It's released version is 3.5, skipping a few version releases due to the time spent in development since the last one.
To spread the word, they have been launching campaigns across the globe of which starts 7:50pm (London, UK) the main one being called codename "Shiretoko Shock". You can read more about it here along with Firefox parties across the globe.
Although you may not realise, the Firefox logo has been refreshed. The main features of the change, directed by the original designer Anthony Piraino, are small hair details on the furry mammal and depth of colour. It pretty much looks the same, especially when viewing the icons on your PC and Mac.

Mashable have put together "Top 5 Killer Features in Firefox 3.5" which you can overview here.
